Just to keep things ticking over 'oop North. Whats everyone been working on in the last year!!wow Apart from a house move, the Ariel Arrow 200cc has been on, and off the bench many times. I hate it, and loathe it in equal measure - its been a money pit, and if it could go wrong it did. From the hole in the frame, to the £250 quid chainguards (I got lucky and paid less but its shocking some of the prices). The Velo LE is still in boxes due to the club spares dept being shut down due to covid. And a bright orange Est German moped joined the fray in the shape of a Simson Schwalbe! Currently working on building a set of slip rolls that'll handle about 20" width sheet so I can patch stuff (like chainguards for £250!). So whats occurring with everyone?

Cheers Colfishing

FB Falcon 87 needs wiring to finish. Ariel Arrow on the back burner, MZ125 running, Royal Enfield Classic love it, Velo LE waiting for spares, Simson Schwalbe now 12v and running.

I have finished the oily rag restoration of my 1949 James trials bike,it runs wll and is surprisingly comfortable.I may ride it in this years Beamish Trophy trial instead of the Bantam.I have also finished the Greeves  greenlaner. I replaced the front suspension rubbers a challenging exercise when you havent done it before but fortunately my friend has access to a machine shop and was able to mill some grooves in the bushes and press the new ones in.I also replaced the home made exhaust which was restricting the performance and fiitted a siamese system from Armours, not cheap but superb quality and the engine now pulls like a train.Lets hope we can get to use our toys before too long.

Good luck with your projects and stay safe.  David

Well David, at least there's two people in Yorkshire doing something! Soon as the gears are fitted, the slip rolls will be done. And back to the motorbikes. Maybe pushing my luck but I'm about to service the Royal Enfield and fit a Carberry anti vibration plate.

Nice Greeves. Always had a hankering for a Sports Twin. But the shed is now at capacity so it'll have to wait.

Cheers Col
