Hi David, looks like a grand day out. And using the right equipment for the job.

Cheers Colin

FB Falcon 87 needs wiring to finish. Ariel Arrow on the back burner, MZ125 running, Royal Enfield Classic love it, Velo LE waiting for spares, Simson Schwalbe now 12v and running.

That looks good, do you have an extension on the gearbox filler too? I reckon some details on the Mikuni carb would be useful to have, too.

Hi cocorico,I am not sure this is the right  place for the reply but here goes. The filler plug has a fibre washer and ptfe on the thread so it should be sealed,I thought of fitting an extended breather but I dont think the gearbox needs a breather. The Mikuni is a VM-26-8074 and after some trial and error the following jets are fitted, Main 140 ,Pilot 25.30, Needle jet 182P4, Needle 5DP3 and the slide is a 2.5.There are dozens of combinatios of jets ,needles and slides so it is best to start with the manufacturers set and change one item at a time.I use my B175 mainly off road and the above settings work well for me,the bike starts well and pulls cleanly through the rev range, certainly better than the concentric that was fitted.

Hope you find this of interest. David

Thanks for that. Perhaps Stoo can move it to a more appropriate area? I asked the breather question as the gearbox filler (on D1 and D3 anyway) has a small breather hole. It may be that it is not large enough to admit water during a short immersion.
