Not sure about what's on but is there any Yorkshire meets planned?  There's a new cafe opened up near Sherburn and there's squires but not seen any meets planned which is a shame as I might brave the 25 miles to the cafe now it's managed 50 on its new piston 😂

Used to be an active membership round south yorkshire, but they've gone quiet. I think the North Yorkshire Rep isn't on the internet, and rides out with the VMCC. I meet up at odd shows with people but its more by luck than any notifications. Hey ho. If you find anything bung it on here. I've met people at Cravens a few times, and Squires is always handy.

Hi Guys,

How about a mass Bantam riding to the Sherburn Aero Club? Organized by the York Historic Vehicle Group - a 'Drive it' day on Sunday 26 April 2020

Apparently open to non members - I believe they gather at the York racecourse around 09.30

Check out their website   ** Please log in to view **

Could be fun ??

Then there is Sowerby Bridge on Sunday 24th May (TBC) - that's in my diary !

Looking forward to the coming riding season.

Andy

Got a rare weekend off for the Sherburn one so as long as bikes run on properly and working that would be a good one for me 👍

I'll have to see how I'm doing moving house, but if all ok, I'll go for a toddle.

Well these dates are shot down in flames. Hey ho. My Morgans guide is looking like its a bit redundant and probably off to the bin. But I've moved house, rebuilt the shed that I'd taken 20 years to sort at the old house, and now I'm back restoring the Ariel Arrow waiting for somewhere to go. Whats all the other Yorkshire Bantamites up to in these strange times? Hopefully keeping well.

Cheers Colin

Morning Colin, strange times indeed,no runs out to Seaways cafe at Fridaythorpe or Fimber or weekend runs with my local club but we are well and have access to open country for walking,I cant believe how it must be living in a city.Sometime ago I got a 1949 James trials bike which I dismantled and guess what I seem to have time to rebuild it but just to an oily rag restoration. At present the callendar is empty-and the only bright spot on the horizon is an entry to the Beamish Trophy trial on my Bantam on Sept 20.

Hope everyone stays well.  David

Hi David, still got to get myself over to Seaways, I was meant to be meeting someone there that had a Francis Barnett but never managed it. I always seem to head to Squires for a bacon butty which Im missing as of course Squires is shut. Really missing my monthly trip to Rufforth now its picked up again. At the moment Im just glad I have hobbies and a shed as the 12 week lock down as a vulnerable person would have had me climbing the walls otherwise. I'm hoping that when this is over clubs and the like have enough time to organise events (if allowed due to numbers) before the years out. Anyone else out there?

Cheers Col

Hi Guys,

What a bummer all this lot is! Have been wearing myself out getting the sun bed out every day an putting on the sun cream. Both my CB500T and Bantam are still wrapped up in winter storage protective spray, tanks drained and batteries out.

Did a bit of a job on the Dullsville over the winter - now it's a no quite such a Dullsville!! New tyres, new exhaust, tarted up wheels and extra lighting.

Managed to get out on it to Seaways one Wednesday morning, just before lockdown, and had a ride out to Flamborough with some of the 'old boys' with motorcycles !!

Since then I have had to go shopping a few times, for the eggs I can't get at Sainsburys, to a farm shop. Somehow I seem to forget whereabouts the damn shop is - I sometimes do 40 or 50 miles of country lanes just looking for it! 🙂

Col - You will have to let me know where you are now - Hope you took that Scimitar with you. I have my eye on that.

How we are going to fit all the cancelled motorcycle events into one summer? Better times are coming - In'Sh'Allah

Cheers all

Andy
