I vote for No1 !! thumbs-up

Thank you!

Ah, what i found, is that the picture comes out with 10cm diameter after printing..

Tax disk  holder is about 7-7,5 cm, so maybe there is a need of little reduce in the size of the image..

I like number 1 and number 3. But i have already put something in the tax disc holder. I cut the edge off my BSAOC car tax disc holder, and that fits perfectly in the bantam tax disc holder.

OK, I've re-sized them. They should print out with the perforations circle at 75mm.

I've reduced the image sizes to avoid them being masked by the Tax Disc holder retaining ring.

Really good Paul, I like 1 & 3, and as an old Telegram Boy from 1955, with a GPO Bantam, my idea is a GPO bike. (You did ask for ideas)clap

No problem with doing a GPO one, but I would need a picture from someone with permission to use it.

I can't just use any picture from the web etc. due to copyright issues.

So if anyone has a suitable picture I could use, please send it to me and I'll see what I can do.

Mine holds my insurance ticket - all vehicles over here must display a current insurance ticket at all times (but no 'road tax') and it's a handy place, rather than sticking it on the paintwork somewhere.

The thumbnail jpg's will be too small, they are just for illustration, the pdf files should print out at the correct size as long as your printer settings are not set to 'stretch to fit'.

i decided to put a copy of its 1st tax dick in, i also have the last tax disc on it as well from 1983.

Tired to get the bike on the road so i could get the last tax disc issued, but it wasnt to be.

so you could say i have two tax discs on the bike and both decades out of date

I think I read of a member doing authentic looking tax disks of the year of first date of a bikes registration.

IE. I need one for a 1953 and another for 1959.

Can anyone help? If so contact and cost would be helpful.

It may have been me as I did my own by finding a high res image online retouching out the old details and just adding my bikes details in a handwriting like font as per these examples.

I just printed them out on a laser printer. I guess you could actually write the details in but my handwriting is messy!

I could do one for you if I can find an image of the right years and you could print it out yourself or I could send it to you.

Not worth charging for....

At this website, they charge £28 to make a replica tax disc!

** Please log in to view **

This one is much cheaper, and there is also a table of taxation rates for different vehicles through the years. Very handy when you come to fill in the duty paid.

At this website you can get a BSA tax disc, or any other make!

Lots of options for us! I'm still deciding...

Very nice!

And a tip, if you want to make them look old:

Stir some coffee in a plate with little water (depends on how dark you want it), put the paper inside, and place in hot oven for 10 minutes.. Let it dry, and this is what you get.

You can then re-new the ink on pen writitngs (or use waterproof ink)
