Hello All,
Our Christmas meal is again at The Nags Head in Sawley our usual meeting venue on Tuesday 10th December. We will be meeting up in the lounge around 7 pm and sitting down to eat around 7.30 pm - please find the menu below. I will require definite numbers along with your preferred choice of courses and payment at our meeting in November to aid Debs as all food is freshly prepared. We had around twenty five people attend the Christmas meal last year, if we can do this again we can enjoy having the room to ourselves. All wives and partners are very welcome.

Starters....
Home Made Sweet Potato And Lentil Soup (V) - Accompanied with rustic bread.
Coriander - Chilli Chicken Meatballs - Minced chicken seasoned with spring onion, coriander, chilli sauce and lemon juice for a unique Thai flavour presented on a bed of leaves with a sweet chilli dipping sauce.
Cheesy Smoked Haddock Pate - Smoked Haddock with vine tomatoes, chives Parmesan and Gruyere cheese served in a pot with soda bread.
Beetroot and Ricotta Filo Tarts - Filo pastry filled with Beetroot, ricotta, eggs, chives and nigella seeds, topped with cheese accompanied with a salad garnish.
Main Course....
Hand Carved Turkey - Slow roasted with pigs in blankets, sage and onion stuffing and cranberry sauce served with roast potatoes, new potatoes and veg.
Cider Braised Gammon - Slowly cooked gammon in cider, peppercorns and sugar placed on a bed of crushed new potatoes with roast potatoes and festive veg.
Tuna Fishcakes - Tuna mixed with potato, mature Cheddar, spring onion and chives covered in breadcrumbs with a side of parsley and cheese sauce and new potatoes and festive veg.
Winter Veg Bake (V) - A warming dish with butternut squash, lentils, mushroom and thyme topped with sweet potato and baked in the oven served with festive veg.
Desserts....
Traditional Christmas Pudding - Covered in Brandy sauce, cream or ice cream and topped with a piece of holly (not edible).
Prosecco and Strawberry Cheesecake - Strawberries soaked in Prosecco mixed together to make a cheesecake and served with a bit of fizz with cream or ice cream.
Sticky Chocolate Orange Cake - An orange sponge cake injected with orange curd and enrobed with chocolate flavouring then finished with a drizzle of dark chocolate and orange coloured white chocolate garnish served with cream or ice cream.
Cheese and Biscuits - ( £1.75 Additional Charge ) Stilton, Brie and Cheddar Cheese.
