Hello everyone,

My name is William Fothergill, and I have volunteered to be the area representative for Oxfordshire and Berkshire.

I will be running a monthly meet starting around the end of January / start of February and am hoping that even if you don’t have a road-worthy Bantam, or if it’s bad weather so you don’t come on a bike, that as many people as possible can come to it. This way we can discuss what everyone would like to do going forward.

At the moment, I am hoping to get us involved with some of the local shows, Woodcote, Abingdon, etc. As well as going on Bantam club runs, and joining in charity events, such as Christmas / Easter runs.

I personally will be going on the Reading Toy Run on the 8th of December on my GPO Bantam, so if anyone is also going and would like to meet up beforehand, please let me know, as we can meet at the H-Café, or another place locally.

If anyone has anything they’d like to do, or any questions for me, please don’t hesitate to contact me using the pm system.

Hello William

Well done for taking up the challenge. Would be pleased to make acquaintance. I am ten mins ride from the H cafe (oily rag d7/ d10 bitsa) That’s the easy bit, however I work shifts during the week, and most Sundays I am usually out riding a trial somewhere. Perhaps meet up over the festive period sometime.

Cheers

Wayne

Good luck with the role, it’s not an easy one keeping everyone happy, but make sure you enjoy what you do and where you go. That way, even if no one else turns up, you will have enjoyed yourself.

Current bikes......1958 D5,  and a 76 Honda C90 in the workshop.

Hi Bill

Welcome to the forum. I have sent a pm to Piquet to ask him if he can open your pm system. If you do an introduction in the introduce yourself and a couple of other responses to postS you will find the pm soon opens.

Mick

Ok, sounds good, cheers for the help 🙂

Certainly sounds like good advice. Luckily, any trip out on a Bantam is a good one! 🙂

Hello Bill,

Only just noticed your post & really welcome you as my area rep.

I'm in Tilehurst, so not too far away. Sadly my Bantam is not "on the road" at the moment but I would welcome joining a get together if any are forth coming.

Regards

Barrie.

Good to hear from you and well done for volunteering.

We are just over the border in North Wiltshire.  The H cafe is a great venue for a meet up on a week end  but not too early in the year !

Hi Barrie, good to hear from you. I will hopefully be running the first meet soon, as there are quite a few local shows that already have their entries open, so I'd like to get in Bantam booking early. 🙂

I'm in Stanford Dingley, RG7 6LS so not a million miles away - bought a bantam project today that needs registering and work (looking at putting a d14 engine in) but have a b40 I've nearly finished putting back together so can attend on that
