Hi Everyone,

William Fothergill here, I hope you all had a nice Christmas and New Year. I’m happy to announce the first Oxfordshire and Berkshire area Bantam Club meet.

It will be at 3pm on Sunday the 2nd of February, at ‘The Extraordinary Hare’, just outside of Wantage.

The address is:

Reading Rd

Wantage, Oxfordshire

OX12 8RH

The reason as to its location is that it is right in the middle of where everyone is situated. I understand not everyone will be able to come, but if you could turn up, even in a car, that would mean a lot!

If we have a few people interested that can definitely come, I could also book a table for us to have Sunday lunch a bit earlier if we all wish, as they stop serving at around 4pm.

In terms of when the meets will be moving forward, as we get closer to the summer, they will probably start being during the week, and a tad later as the sun will obviously be up for longer.

As well as the first meet, I have made a small list of some shows that I am currently hoping that we may be able to go to, either as the Bantam club officially, or just entering individually. They are as follows:

Abingdon Country Show – 17th May

Stoke Row Steam Rally – 13th/14th June

Woodcote Rally – 11th/12th July

Appleford Steam Rally – 25th July (Possibly)

Overall, I look forward to seeing as many as possible on our first meet.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Kind Regards,

William Fothergill
