Hi Bantam Lovers,
I suggested a Bantam run/meeting at Whitwell Station this Friday, 27th March, in the March issue of Banter. Well obviously with all that's been going on recently with Corona Virus we can no longer hold the meeting.
So just wanted to confirm the Whitwell Station meeting 27th March has been CANCELLED.
I'm itching to get out & about on my Bantam & as soon as restrictions allow I will arrange another get-together somewhere in North Norfolk. I'll keep you posted.
On the bright side the stay-at-home restrictions mean I have plenty of time on my hands. If anyone fancies a good ole Mardle about bikes & Bantams then give me a call. My contact details are in Banter.
Keep Safe in these unusual times, Broadsman (Dave)
BTW - A Mardle is a Norfolk word for an indepth chat!

A bit off subject, but I read that MAG has recommended that all Bikers follow Government instructions and NOT take their bikes out for leisure runs. It would be an antisocial act in the present situation and in the event of an accident could lead to more problems for an already overworked NHS. Bike use for essential purposes are regarded as quite OK though.
1956 D3 running, lights to sort. 7 other bikes in the Barn. 1950 D1 engine being rebuilt (slowly).

I agree, nobody will be driving by to report a biker in a fen ditch.
Can hear the distinctive roar of a Ducati V-twin out on the A16 as I type this.
Yesterday, walking along the same stretch, I stepped out into the middle of the road during what would normally be rush hour, to let a masked yoof on a speeding pushbike hurtle past on the footpath.
How many laws have been broken above? 🙂
NB: 13:06 and 2nd bike, Japanese 4 but not on full pipe like they usually are...
Tempting, empty roads and all that.
Don`t worry, this wont be a running report, haha
