Speaking of chainguards Jess, could you measure the length of your D5 chain guard if you get chance? The green one i have for my D5 is about an inch too short at the front end. It might be off a D3 but i need to check. And any D5 brake shoes you don't want, bung them my way please.rofl

I can't see Jess parting with any D5 brake shoes! He's keeping them for all that hard braking that he does when he rides his D5 at high speed. rofl

Jess, before you cut up your D7 chainguard, is it the same as a D5 one? If so, we could just swap, if mine is from a D3 swinger and is useful to you. It's painted a nasty shade of green but isn't rusty or bent. I will take pics and measurements. Just hang on until I've checked it against my mate's D3 swinger (in the photo above).

Damn BSA and their constant minor changes to the bantam!

roflroflDookster i don't cut stuff up i fabricate, you probably know by now that your chain guard is a d3 swing arm one as well? ,my chain guard also turned out to be a d3 swinger to,you could convert (fabricate)your into a d5 one easily by just drilling out the locating bolt hole in the d3 one and move it back an inch but you'd really need a welder to do it proper..

i've kept my d3 chain guard as is and converted(fabricated) the d7 one into a d5 chain guard......

    jess,he does'nt cut things up,he fabricatestip-my-hat  ............................
