Finally get to put a classic back on the road....
Been wanting to do this for some time now but finally got the time needed to do it.
I'm going to be starting off with a BSA B31 it's all there apart from a few screws and bolts. Just need to get the rest of the things I need for the workshop, Also need some good places to help me find the parts I might be changing if they are too far gone.
I been looking on eBay and good old Google so far and trying to find good forums that I can join for help.

An excellent bike with very few vices.
The only improvements I would make are replace the 7" front brake with an 8" brake from an A10 (some people fit the later twin leading brake but that requires the brake stop on the stanchion to be built up). It makes a lot of difference and jump the output up to 12 volts (the old rectifier must be replaced with a later rectifier plus zenor diode or rectifier/ controller).
I also fitted a Commando oil filter to the return side oil pipe.
Most classic dealers who sell BSA will have parts plus Russell Motors (engine parts only).
The only weak point is the points distributor which runs in a phosphor bronze bearing which due to lack of lubrication wears the shaft.
