No, not really. Just another Moto Morini I've acquired. Well last October actually, but the French Registration system has gone computerised (previously you would go to a 'window' in the Prefecture with your appropriate documents and the person would either say Oui or Non - and tell you what else was needed) so that now everything is done on-line with the result ' computer says No...

Anyway, it's a 1986 K2 Sport, another 350, and needed very little apart from changing fluids, master cylinder overhauls, starter motor clean (yes- an electric foot) and a new seat lock.

Went for a spin yesterday evening, needs some fine tuning of the carbs, but nice - and I much prefer a left hand gearchange!smile

Very nice too, and I agree about the left foot gear change. I change gear without much thought with the left foot, but with the right.....Lets just say I have changed down a lot when trying to use the rear brake and slowed down quite a bit when changing gear. I don't think Im safe on wrong sided gear change bikes, and the right is definitely the wrong side.....(lights blue touchpaper and retires...…..)

Current bikes......1958 D5, a 77 Suzuki GT250 and a 77 Honda CB125S. I have a 74 Kawasaki S3 400 and a B175 waiting for restoration. A 1980 Honda CB400N waiting for MOT.  Everyday ride is a 2011 Harley Davidson Sportster.

Never mind left or right, what about one down three up instead of one up three down?

First time out for a few years on my AJS 250 yesterday, very nearly blew the gearbox away changing from third (and lifting the lever Bantam style .... to second) under acceleration, fortunately did not let the clutch out!

D7/14 hybrid (4 speed with D7 crank etc.) on the road, D10 Bushman awaiting rebuilding.

Ha! It's a bit like driving in France and UK - changing from one to the other (and back again) can be enjoyable and it keeps the brain and reflexes active (well - that’s my excuse)
