I am in the process of replacing the oil seals on the gear box and primary side of my a65. I have removed the primary side case and have tried to remove the clutch rod but it will not come out, do you think it would help to remove the gearbox side cover and try to remove it from that side?

I was hoping to be able to replace both seals from the primary side.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
