I have just phoned the DVLA about the progress of registration for my D3. I sent everything off with 'Post office next day guaranteed delivery' and it is recorded signed for on 18th... However, the person I've just spoken to says she can't find any record of my application even though she confirmed through my tracking number it was signed for with them. It's not on any of their systems.

Apparently, I now have to wait up to 4 weeks for it to be looked into (not registered but 'looked into')... maddeningly frustrating!

Just wondering if anyone has encountered the same, and what the outcome was?

I wouldn't worry too much just yet. DVLA are a law unto themselves and just because the person you spoke to cannot find it doesnt necessarily mean that it hasn't arrived. I have heard this happen before, then three or four days later the V5 arrives on the doorstep....

Give it a little longer, and keep your fingers crossed.....

Current bikes......1958 D5, a 77 Suzuki GT250 and a 77 Honda CB125S. I have a B175 in the workshop and a 76 Honda C90 waiting its turn. A 1980 Honda CB400N waiting for MOT.  Everyday ride is a 2011 Harley Davidson Sportster.

My spy in Gorseinon says they are having a hard time with Brexit. Many British hauliers have trucks registered in the E.U. and vice versa.do not panic  if your insurance is valid then the rest will follow .Go on line and check your status. If you are waiting for a reg  then it is a pain..

Well, as intimated here it was a case of being patient as I am now on the road smile. It's interesting to discover from DVLA, that whilst completely sensible, sending the application pack by recorded delivery generally adds a week onto the process, as it's makes for a slower transition through their systems... Safer but slower it seems (perhaps how I should be riding).

Thanks to all
