Hi everybody. Having given it due thought, and discussion with others, Ian - our area rep - has decided that it will be better if the meeting at Hagworthingham doesn't happen given the present situation and the lack of real clarity with regards to the rules. It would, of course, be wrong to bring the name of the Bantam Club into disrepute - even unwittingly - and/or get Ian into trouble.
I think it'll have to be a case of roll on next year and hope for the best. So, keep your fingers crossed. See you. Ken.

Ken, Ian, and all,
It is not just a case of bringing the name of the Club into disrepute.
Any Club that organises official Club meets or events of any kind in this current situation leaves itself open to possible legal action should one member catch this virus from another club member at such an official Club event, even if there were six or less Club members in attendance. So, like it or not, agree with it or not, it is simply not worth the risk to the Club.
We can only see how the situation will develop, or improve, in time.
