Hi everybody. Though I don't like to always go with the flow or panic pointlessly I've reluctantly decided to act responsibly (for a change ?) and cancel next weekend's meeting at the Bardney Heritage Centre. I've been informed that they'll be closed for the foreseeable future, anyway. I've thought about the idea of meeting elsewhere but with the situation being as it is I think cancellation is the correct thing to do. Hopefully things will have improved in seven weeks time for our next scheduled get together, Ken.

Being now 66 I'm on the edge of the most at risk age group so I think I'm basically staying in for the full 12 weeks, or at least avoiding social gatherings. I'm even debating what's best to do about shopping now.

That sounds like good thinking Number 6. My mention of seven weeks time was written with fingers crossed but with little real optimism. I hope you and all of our fellow Lincolnshire Bantamites get through this horrible situation and that we can meet up in the not too distant future for a cuppa, a bite to eat and a good chat ! Ken.

Well Boris has made the decision for us so there you go. Just glad I was able to get my frame today. Can't see me convincing the police it was an essential trip, if I was stopped.

We're well locked down over here, with increasing fines for people who break the rules. I'll still be around to growl at you when necessary (hopefully!).

I've been watching BBC news channel, getting really rough over there, hope you're in a low risk area! thumbs-up

PS: we're locked down here as well, received my official government email this evening telling me not to go out! Is it because I'm 66 or did everybody get one? I know a friend did who's now 69

I'm 30 years your junior and had a government text message as well as one from the NHS. Not spotted an email, but not exactly looked either. I've been on lockdown for years with the kids anyway, so nothing new doh

Thanks for the thought. Where I am life goes on without too much trouble, but I do have Hermit genes plus a large garden and veg plot and a barn full of mechanical things to fettle. The overall situation is pretty bad, though environmentally the air quality in towns is improving and it's quieter than normal. I don't think the UK Govt has been serious enough about the situation over there, likewise many citizens. You're lucky it didn't appear during the recent floods!
