Hello all fellow Bantam members..... i have recently joined the forum having bought my first D7.....the model with two switches on the headlight. i managed to get it going after it was last ridden in 1979 .... but the lights were not working. The wipac lighting connection was damaged, so i thought i would buy a new lucas wiring loom ...i have wired it together and SORRY !!... i guessed at the wires .... but it would start when the switch was on " E" The next day i was messing to get it to start on " I "  and i changed the polarity wires on the battery ...SORRY AGAIN !!...and the fuse blow ...so i put the polarity correct on the battery put a new fuse in.. .. but now there is no spark .... i may have damaged the rectifier or a wire? but before i go any further, i would like to get the wiring correct, and then hopefully trace if i have damaged the rectifier or coil or burnt a wire out !! ...  so my questions are  ....  the three wires that go to the rectifier ...white - brown - orange ... where do they go to on the rectifier? and where do the 4 wires to the generator go? ... red - orange - white - red and white ( control breaker ) ..... the wires to the generator are not connected to the loom - its just to show the generator .... thank you for any help .... and i promise never to do anything on the D7  without checking its correct first !!  kind regards dave
