Hello, my name is Bud, from the good old USofA. I have a 53 D1 that I picked up in England when I was 12 years old, I,m now 63, so I,ve had this machine for quite a long time. It is going to need a lot of work, so I probably will be pestering you for a bunch of info to get this old girl up and running again. I will post a photo of it when I can dig one up.

Hi Bud and a very warm welcome. Great story! Well done for persevering. As my dad used to say, " If you keep a thing long enough...." We've got a few members across the pond and you seem to have some decent suppliers over there. In fact sometimes there's more original stuff available in the US than here. You've certainly come to the right place for help and advice. I'm sure we can help you get the old girl up-and-running again. Whereabouts in the States are you?
