Since the disappointing results of considering registering STEAMPUNK with DVLA. I have now acquired a frame with good numbers and good mountings. Not sure how it goes, but I assumed that D1 is rigid and D3 is plunger... please correct me if I'm wrong. LET THE REBUILD BEGIN! "I Love eBay" and there are plenty of copied Bantam parts available from India. I've been looking at mudguards, toolboxes, and wheel hubs. can anyone advise me on the quality and acceptability of these remakes?

The truth is as simple as 1+1=2 How can it be anything else?

D1 can be rigid or plunger. D3 can be plunger or swinging arm. Widely varying opinions/reviews of parts from India and elsewhere Depends on what you're frame numbers are....

 '55 D3 Battery; '58 Square Four (project); '59 D1 direct lighting plunger; '59 Tiger Cub; '60 5TA;  '76 FS1-E; '91 GTR 1000;  '97 Honda Sky SGX50.

I bought a D1 toolbox from India. It would do the job if you didn’t have one, but it’s pretty crudely made.

Yours for a tenner plus post if you want it. It cost me £45, but I couldn’t take that off anyone for it with a clear conscience.
