Hello everyone,

A couple more dates for your diary to events in our area.

I have received a message from the Membership Secretary Bryan Price via Area Reps Co-ordinator Iain Houghton that the BSA Bantam Club has been invited to the BSA O.C International Rally on it's 'Open day' on Sunday 11th August.  The event is being held in our neck of the woods at the Fire Service College, London Road, Moreton in Marsh.  Having been to a couple of these BSA O.C. do's in the past I can safely say that it is a day well spent with like minded souls with some fabulous bikes to view.  Here is the info received:

Dear fellow BSA Riders,
This year the BSA Owners’ Club is holding it’s annual International Rally in the UK.  The dates are 10th – 17th August 2019 and the venue is The Fire Service College, London Road, Moreton in Marsh, Gloucestershire, Cotswolds.  The Rally runs for one week for BSAOC members from all around the globe, Europe,
NZ, USA, Australia.  However, Sunday 11th August is an ‘Open’ day for friends and family and we would like to extend an invitation to your club members to come along and enjoy this day as well.  It would be a great one day ‘BSA Gathering’.

The programme for the day is as follows:
11:00am Opening Ceremony                             (all times are approximate)

11:30am Morris Dancers

13:00pm Family Games

Please circulate this information to your members and we hope to see you on Sunday 11th August 2019.

Yours sincerely

Rob & Diane Jones GB2019 International Rally

Nearer the time I will send out another r/r to give details of a possible Bantam meeting point before we enter the rally .... it would be nice if we could arrive en-masse to ensure the Bantams are all parked together ?  Usually all bikes park as they arrive and it might be nice if we treated our host's to a 'clutch of Bantams' ?

The next event not too far away is the 'Calne Bike Meet' at SN11 0EH which is in the heart of Calne town (ah la Coleford ?).

The organisers say:  For the first year or two the meet remained quite small, but it didn't stay that way for long and soon grew to be recognised as a major event locally, nationally and beyond.

Being held in the town centre, on open public roads makes it a unique event in the motorcycling calendar (?), and being free to attend allows our whole town to be involved.

Every year our team of volunteers gathers together local clubs and traders to provide an event with something for everyone.  Always on the last Saturday of July it should be in your calendar already!

Join us at the next one for great bikes, live music and a warm welcome to our town.

For more information go to:  ** Please log in to view **     or just type in Calne Bike Meet into your search engine.

.... and there you have it !  A couple of days out with your favourite clucking bird and some great fellow Bantamneers and new friends.  Oh, and don't forget this Wednesdays 'bike night' at the Fromebridge Mill, Whitminster on the A38 at 18.30hrs start.

Ride safely,

Darrell
