Hello All:

Mortons Media have just sent a round-robin email, informing Clubs and contacts that the Stafford Classic Motorcycle Show scheduled for 10-11 October has been cancelled - as a result of the strengthening of control measures due to the resurgence of Covid. All tickets had to be pre-purchased online: and the notification email that I received says that all e-tickets will be automatically transferred to the April 2021 show (clearly, they know that Covid will be history by then!).

If you want a refund instead, then you have to specifically request it by emailing ** Please log in to view **. I suggest that you request any refund by forwarding the email wot had your e-tcket attached, because they will surely want the reference number and won't have access to your original order.

Along with the recent cancellation of the Classic Motor Show at the NEC over the Remembrance Weekend, this means that its pretty much a clean sweep for classic bike shows for the remainder of the year. Regrettable, but necessary.

You are right - its a write off year. I think the best advise is to lay in lots of supplies, lock the doors and windows, speak to nobody outside of your immediate home, strip your bike down and get it as reliable and sorted as you can. Stay indoors and safe. Polish up your leathers and boots over the winter then plan for an amazing 2021 when, hopefully, we can all get out and set fire to the streets, burning up the tarmac and scaring all the children and old ladies with our fire breathing, oil burning, roaring BSAs once more.  We can all have a gathering at Stafford in the spring - how about that ? A sort of rally.

I hate it just as much as the next man but we have to take this seriously otherwise it will never go away.  Alf Sponge.
