Good evening.

I find the foam padding in my D14 saddle to be too soft & my inner thighs make contact with the metal base.

Just wondered if anyone has had a similar problem & could recommend a stiffer foam type & supplier.

Thanks

Barrie.

Hi, you could try R K Leighton and see if they could supply a firmer foam.

If your original foam is still in good condition you could firm it up by adding some sheet foam (maybe 1/2" - 1") to the edges and/or top of the saddle, stick with spray glue, you will need to pull the cover on tight and re-clip. I have done this to firm up a saddle and it worked ok, best thing to cut foam is an electric carving knife.

Hope this helps if you can't find a replacement.

Thanks both.

Leightons I've looked at & thought too pricey for a piece of foam.

Yes Larry, had thought of that & will give it a go.

Thanks.

I added a couple of layers from an old yoga mat that my other half was throwing out to an old D5 seat - did the trick.

Leightons may seem pricey, but you will have a v comfy seat afterwards - they refurbished my B25 seat completely and it is the most comfortable seat of any of my bikes by a long way!
