Folks,

I've been fiddling to add a new feature in for you to be able to upload pictures to the form directly.

** Please log in to view **

When you open a reply box you should see a button in the bottom left called 'Attachments' - click that and a box opens below (scroll down if you can't see it), now you should be able to upload pictures up to 1mb in size.

After you click attachments you should be able to click 'Add files' and a window should pop up from where you navigate to the folder and picture you require, or, open the folder that contains the picture and 'drag and drop' into the area 'drag files here'

fileselect.jpg

Either way you should end up with the file/s listed as below. 'Start upload' will upload the files to the post.uploadfile.jpg

** Please log in to view **

Hmmmm.......

You want to keep the good image size for your own computer - but I need to limit file size for the forum.

Try here to resize them: ** Please log in to view **

Don't go too small on the size though !

It might default to 400 x 300  - and you want 800 x 600 or more.

Wotcha.

Ok - for some strange reason . . . .  here's a wok on a Bantam laugh

This is a 600 X 450 image, and well under 1 meg.

( Hmm - it seems to want to load the photo before the text )

just out of interest, why do we need this ? is it instead of having to use photobucket or similar ?  at the minute it seems a long winded method, but i`m sure it will get easier, maybe when i get back on to my pc

Wotcha.

Here's a larger image, but still well under the one meg limit.

I'm afraid I had to edit using the "html" button in order to get the text above the picture.

Wotcha.

I would imagine this is a far easier method of posting photographs if you ain't all that clued up on computers.

Don't know if I'm missing the whole point here, but to publish old style paper photo's I first scan them on my copier/printer, send them to lexmark page for editing if any, then save in usual place then just do it all through 'bucket as usual.

For stuff from my pocket digital I also use 'bucket and go through the easiest process I find on there that suits me.

Perhaps Stephen means that we can use this feature as we do on ebay selling, where a link and machinery on there takes the pics directly from your computer without a third party like 'bucket, or have I got it wrong again! DD.

exactly  Or at least - I hope it will be !

More fiddling to do yet though - we could do with the pictures appearing a little larger without being clicked.

waterfall.jpgWotcha.

Trying the type text at top . . . pressing return a couple of times before pressing "Upload" button. . . . . and it still seems to put the text at the bottom  ( like this - left unedited ). . . . not a problem, I can always edit it later.

Indeed !

There are advantages to putting them on the forum though - which I'll go into when I'm not posting from my phone ...

You will be relieved to hear I have enrolled on a Photoshop course starting in October...they also include images and the web...up/down loading, posting to forums, facebook that sort of thing cant-look...So with luck you will get less "how do I?" questions from me at least
