Well Paul and myself had a trip up to Paignton on Saturday for the weekend BMAD Bike Festival, it seemed that almost everyone with a motorcycle in the Westcountry was there, and we were blessed with a glorious sunny day as well.

We pitched up with my VMCC Dartmoor section pals who had a pitch and display there, a good selection of oldies (bikes as well) plus a place to dump your gear and have a cup of tea and a natter to boot. There were a couple let's say "unusual" Bantams there with the VMCC crowd including a "Golden Barrow" and a Flat Tanker/Bantam hybrid, see for yourself.

I teated myself to a bit of go and went up on my A65 Thunderbolt, great on the back roads this beast it really does shift for an old Brit. Anyhow have a peek at this !

Phil

A Golden Barrow (hmm when a while back l suggested calling an Arrow engined Bantam a Barrow everyone poo poo'ed the idea).

Twin plug head no less, and note from previous photos foot AND hand change, the thing that looks like an oil tank is actually another fuel tank !

I love to see those bikes like the Montesa still in regular unrestored use - reminds me of the old Norton I used to see every year at the Dragon, which looked like it had only ever been rubbed over with an oily rag.

As for people's ideas and skills in putting together some of those specials - speechless.
