Ok as you know I went, sadly I couldnt show my bike as arranged, but here are the pics & a list of the vehicles that were on show, enjoy!

 

Oh yes there was a BSA D1 1951 there, I wonder who that belonged to there was a name on the form but cant remember what it said haha check out pics.

Oh I did indeed. I like the fact they spray painted on the grass to advise us they were motorbikes out-a-here

I was at a local rally the other day but my computer has fallen out with my camerarantingso photos will have to wait...

1950 D1 (Ex Hawaii!), 1936 Ariel 500 OHV, 1923 Raleigh Model 2 350 SV, Various bikes hidden from the Missus in sheds, under floorboards etc., etc., ...

I seem to recall he has owned it since new or at least since the early '50's, in any case a very long time!

I'm not a complete idiot ............................................ some parts are missing.

Ah yes I remember the name John T now. lol

Is the seat original looked like it came from the Bantam major.

I lived in Bedford for nearly 40 years (a Londoner too by birth) and I don't recall many meetings as good as the ones you showed piccies of. Mind you, the road system around that town is as good as anywhere now; unlike East Sussex where, despite the demand, we are restricted to a very second-rate system. Ah well, I'll be travelling to Bedford again on Friday en route, via the in-laws, to the National Rally at Marsham, so will have the chance to enjoy the free-flowing A428 / A14.... I hope!
