From 9 a.m. 26 th September at the Ace Cafe Nw10 7DD . Alas I,m working on that day 😪 . I work one Sunday a month and it's that one grrr .

I still work for Great western railways,  but now in Swindon and not in London as I did for 15 years . My depot used to be just round the corner from the Ace , theoretically close enough for dinner , not that we ever had the time .

I used to have an rxs 100 yamaha that I kept at Paddington Station.  I rode it from Swindon to London and stopped at the cafe for breakfast.  A chap came up and casually asked if I lived locally,  nearly fell over when I told him nearly 80 miles away . 😳 . I've spent a lot of time riding little bikes over the years but now commute on a Royal enfield himalayan.  I still have an rxs (different one ! ) and rode it to it's mot , terrible brakes and limited power ! I commuted from my village to Swindon Station for 15 years in all weathers,  even snow.

This mornings ride was autumnal in temperature.  How quickly the summers go !

Wotcha.

That's a bit of an embuggerance - there again, it generally happened to me when I used to be on call out . . . .always the weekend when something was happening.

Hopefully I shall be going, weather, Bantam and health permitting.

Wotcha.

Well it seems like the panic buying idiots at the petrol pumps meant that going to the Ace Café was not a good idea . . . .I could get there, but there's a chance I couldn't get back.

Ah well - maybe next time.

Fate was against us !  Riding along with fuel cans on the bike with enough fuel for the round trip could have gotten you mugged .As you say , next year .
Hopefully I'll be retired and in good health and can really make it something special .
I see people on the one show berating the BBC for stirring up panic buying . Two weeks time and petrol station cashiers will be twidling their thumbs .
