Wotcha.

Bantam all fettled and ready - watch this space on Sunday morning.

Rain = cry  not going

Sunshine = laugh  on my way

Windows 10 forecast is rain, another problem I can see is the long delays due to two lots of roadworks at Oxford, three mile queues on the A40 usually, every day now for many months.

Four now on the road and at least several in bits.

Wotcha.

Sadly, you seem to be correct.

The queues don't worry me too much, the Bantam is quite capable of going down the outside. smile

Rain, on the other hand, is different.  A four hour ride in wet weather ain't enjoyable . . . .  and I only ride for enjoyment these days.

I'll still get up early and look out of the window - then decide on the day . . .  but it ain't looking good.

There won't be so much traffic on a Sunday of course, the tailbacks are folk going to and from work mostly.

And we can filter, as you say.

Weather could still change though, I'm still keen if we can get there and back dry-ish...

I'll give you a shout on the mobile if it's 50/50 sort of situation, Saturday night? M.

I will not be able to make it this year due to my job change. I only get one day off a week and I'm working this weekend, oh the joys of customer service!

I'm not sure but it may be the first one that I could'nt make it, ho hum. I was tempted to jump on the train and go after my shift finish at 13.15, however it would be nearly 15.00 by the time I got there. I work for the railway so it would cost me zilch but its two bours away. It cracks me up now to think I uded to do that commute for 15 years. 🤔 Hope all who make it enjoy it cheers Doug.

Sorry to hear you can't make it Doug, you and Sarah arriving are one of the little highlights I looked forward to!

I've been twice in my car and broke down going first year on my D7, better now with the RBJunior, I hope!

The M40 and M25 are not made for Bantams though.

When going that way I take the A413 to Wilmslow and then cut across through Nash to Stony Stratford, then make for Hanslope and Quinton.

Winslow? I use the A413 to Buckingham, Aylesbury then Princes Risborough then A4010 I think to get to High Wycombe, usually.

Going via Oxfordshire is ok by me though, A40 is a good road for bikes, especially at the weekend.

Wotcha.

Well it ain't raining at the moment - there's been some serious rain overnight, but it doesn't seem too bad out there now.

The Bantams's all ready to go, and as soon as I finish this cuppa I'll be on my way.

See you at the Ace, all being well.

At 5 AM it was raining but now at 8.30 it is fine , a little bit over cast but that dense air will make your Bantam fly . Be brave be bold, why would you want to be sat indoors when you could be out in the fresh air with the wind in your hair and a smile on your face ?

Unless you want to watch a re run of the Arsenal beating Chelsea , That i can understand

Thanks for the pic's Dave, Looks like your Bantam was the earliest model there, I would have loved to have been on the other side of the pond for that run.
