Hi,

Just to let you all know that on Sunday 25/09/2016 the Ace Cafe is holding a BSA Bantam day, in the past this was run by Howard, it has proved to be very popular event,

Get your motor running
Head out on the highway (well the A406 )
I have put a request in for some sunshine ,

The Ace cafe is an iconic destination for all things two wheeled, put the date in your diary and we will see you there.  You know it makes sense,

If you could kindly let me know if you are coming.

See you all there on the 25th

Hi Peterg

Why not turn up even if the Bantam is not working ? There is always lots to see.

Seriously thinking of going too LW, perhaps we could meet up somewhere along the way and go in together, reply here or PM me if interested.

Have never quite made it down there yet, at least not on a Bantam, anyway.

Would be glad of the company and guidance up the A40 into London etc.

Might turn up on the C15, otherwise.

I'll be taking plenty of pics Stephen, that's if I make it!

Four now on the road and at least several in bits.

I've got so much that needs repairing I may need to be at an autojumble instead. But if I can get the Bantam running I can take the blood runners gear with me and get Mark to put out the SERV collection boxes. Fingers crossed.

The Gold Star is also off the road. The nut fell off the torque arm of the rear brake because the threads were worn and I need to get a new brake shoe fulcrum.

I'm sure we can find somewhere on route to meet up.

I'll be passing the old BSA factory ( as near as dammit ) - probably head for Stratford on Avon, then pick up the A44 at Chipping Norton toward Oxford - then it's A40 all the way.  I usually stop at Blenheim Palace for a leg stretch.

Not sure where you're starting from.

The A413 down to Denham and then the A40 in is a very good route for Bantams

There were 14 days between posts, I thought you weren't interested. I could catch you at the garage on the Chippy roundabout? What time?

Wotcha.

Shows how often I look at the computer embarassed

The A3400 / A361 roundabout ?   ( opens Google maps )  On the forecourt of Wheelers ?

That's about two hours from mine - so if I set off at 07:00 ( I started at 06:00 last year and the first hour was «censored» cold - got to the Ace at exactly 10:00 ) I should be there for 09:00 - which going on last years times, means hitting the Ace around 11:00 to 12:00.

I should have my mobile with me,  PM for number.

All the above, weather permitting . . . let's hope Saturday's forecast for Sunday looks promising. thumbs-up

Bantam started second kick on year old petrol (in a great cloud of smoke). Lubricated the barrel and con rod with colloidial graphite. Hope it lubricates as well as it smokes.

Looking good for Sunday. Need to MoT it next.

Taxed and Mot'd. Mark is even putting out the SERV collection boxes, so bring some small change! Now, should I apply the polishing cloth to the bike?
