I would like to go, probably travel down from Tamworth on the Saturday and find a B&B or Hotel. If anyone is also travelling down from the A5 or from the Midlands on Saturday we could meet up.

Sam

Wotcha.

Now that's a thought.  Go most of the way there on Saturday and find digs for the night - do the Ace - then spend most of Sunday taking a leisurely ride home.

I'm only fifteen miles from Tamworth too.

<<fires up Google>>

Hmm - London prices are scary.wow

How about** Please log in to view **- on the road we need, and only 30 mile from the Ace . . . . but half the London price thumbs-up

I believe deeseven, from Worcester was talking about going too.

Sounds good to me, how about it deeseven

If your staying there, I could meet up with you in the morning and I know the way to the Ace!!

Although I'm not sure I'd want to do the M40 on my D3!

10 days and counting.

Hope to have a D7 bantam fitted with a 12volt electronic ignition conversion on display, as long as I can finish the rebuild in time, as well as my Trail Bronc.

Had a bike ready to convert but was offered a price I could not resist so sold it. This left me with about 4 weeks to get a bike built up from a bare frame. sometimes wonder why I do this sort of thing anyway had it running today so looking as if it will be ok, might not be registered though.

Hope to see many of you there so I can put faces to names.

As the car will be empty maybe I should empty the store and load up with lots of spares, plugs, points, etc.

defo bring all the spares you can carry Howard! if I've got me D3 back on't road following the big trip out shake down, I'll do me best to ride down...though seeing as I'm off to devon for a week tomorrow (not on bike, moresthepity) I might be cutting it fine...still, shall do me best...and if I do, I'll undoubtedly scatter at least half off the bike across varios b-roads on the way down, so it'd be great if you had some spares with you Howard!

Hi guys,

I'm up for this one.

I know the Ace Cafe well as I organise two meets each year there for the UK Cruisers (PT Cruiser club). I won't be on my D1 as I'm not riding it until I pass Mod 1 & 2 ( hopefully this Autumn). I may come down in my Zephyr to keep it in the right era.

BTW , you'll probably get twice as many bikes as expected. That always happens with my meets there as people just turn up after seeing the flyers in the Cafe.

Cheers
David

Have faith, a quick blast down the M1 and you are there.

My guess is there will be more turning up on trailers and in vans, and I don't mean because they have broken down.

As many Bantams as possible would be great but any two stroke will do.

As I am bringing the trailer thought I might bring the James as well, the jupiter 2 would add interest but is in no fit state to bring.

Just a reminder to any one taking bikes to the Ace Cafe using older vans, that it is within the London Low Emission zone so don't get caught out or it will cost you (motorcycles and cars are not affected), but it is outside the congestion charge.  I have checked this using the Transport for London web site.   You can check your vans reg on this site as well.  Unfortunately my van is to old so would have to pay.  I don't live that far from London but my little bantam is a trails one and not street legal (yet).
