I'll probably do stills and camcorder footage for the tube. I'll have to find out when the next banter comes out and put something in there, unless you already have Howard?

The next Banter comes out before the meeting so David said He would put a note in the next one so bantam owners not on the forum will at least know.

I have also posted on facebook and on the classic bike forum to try and open it up to a larger number of people.

Went up to the Ace today and had a quick discussion with them, to sort out how thigs will work, looking good.

Thats so tempting but a LONG way on a D7 from Worcester !

Wotcha.

About another fifteen miles or so for me kiss

I have no doubt the bike will do it . . . . but will I be up to it ?

Before the accident I would have just got on the Bantam and rode there . . . . now I have serious doubts as to my ability to make such a long ( almost 300 mile round trip - something I would have done easily three years ago ) trip.

Once again, to the careless, blind tit who hit me . . thank you very much for f****ing up what remains of my life ranting  Oooh, can't you just tell I'm in one of those moods this evening ?

Wotcha.

<<looks at map>>

Mainly A44 and A40, through the Cotswolds.

Hmm - very tempted.

I'll see nearer the date . . sooner or later I'm due for further surgery . .  and it could be at anytime.

Good luck with your surgery, Lone Wolf - I had to have spinal surgery for crushed vertebra 18 months ago - no car involved and it was on a Vespa at 15, YES 15! mph and I havne't really ridden a bike since due to lack of confidence!

Apologies, I didn't know you had medical problems. I hope all goes well and you can make it.

I was hoping to see a few more names. C,Mon people, even if you can't make it on the bantam try to be there:).
. I think this is suffering from the same problem as the 2011 a.g.m. That was in London, people are worried about getting into town. Fortunatlly its only a little way from where th A 40 meets the north circuler a406 (my sat nah can't say it ,nor can I spell it!) . Sara says she wants to ride her d7 , I guess her bantam riding mechanic will be along for the ride .

Amazingly, most people haven't got a clue where the place is, including me! Is there a sat nav reference or a reference for finding it on a map?  I may be feeling better by then dd.

Nearest tube station Stonebridge park on the bakerloo line (the brown one). The station is on the north side of the bridges and just underneath on the Southside is the Ace.

The M1 joins the north circular about 10 miles north of the Ace.

I don't know that I'd reccommend the M1 on a Bantam, though...

I would like to go, probably travel down from Tamworth on the Saturday and find a B&B or Hotel. If anyone is also travelling down from the A5 or from the Midlands on Saturday we could meet up.

Glad to here I won't be on my own.

You can't really miss it it is on what was the old A406 noth circular, which runs parallel to the new one. if you are comming from the south on the A40 turn left at hanger lane and head north the ACe is on the left hand side just after all the super stores and before the viaducts. coming from the North it is on the right just after the viaducts.

The service road (the old A406) has plenty of free parking.

If I get enough interest i will sort out making it an annual event.

Wotcha.

Now that's a thought.  Go most of the way there on Saturday and find digs for the night - do the Ace - then spend most of Sunday taking a leisurely ride home.

I'm only fifteen miles from Tamworth too.

<<fires up Google>>

Hmm - London prices are scary.wow

How about** Please log in to view **- on the road we need, and only 30 mile from the Ace . . . . but half the London price thumbs-up

I believe deeseven, from Worcester was talking about going too.
