I think pretty much any Sunday will be OK for me, as long as I can fix my back light and my speedo!

I checked the mileage on both RAC and AA sites, RAC thought it was in Northern Ireland for some strange reason?

87m from here, using M40 and A34 etc, quotes about one and a half hours each way!

How and where do you type in "going by D7 bantam"!!!

At least 2.5 hours each way I reckon. A long way for a cup of tea and a bun....!

Four now on the road and at least several in bits.

Could use the 'cycling' button rofl. Speed apart, this gives B and C road choices more suited to bantam speeds. Wouldnt fancy the M40 or A34 much..  Hope you could make it though.

93 miles, 1 hour 48 minutes for me according to AA Routefinder.

PC800 is ready and waiting

I can't do  the 28th, family birthday commitments, most other dates are free at present.

The weather forecast looks reasonable for Sunday 13th, fine and a little warmer than of late so at the moment three Bantams will be heading off for Loomis and hoping to be there for around 10.30. It would be good to meet with anyone else from this site who can make it.

That's a damn early start on a Sunday morning.

Especially after 34 years of night work!

My Arrow/ Bantam is not yet running so it will be a Honda for me this time - assuming I can get up. 🙂

Sorry xcgb, but we'd better take a fine Sunday while we can, I'm sure another trip will be organised. It'll be good to meet up Skid and Velton ( it might be early but on a Honda you'll avoid any Bantam breakdown problems!)

I'm in Newham, East London.

I won't get around to repairing the paint on the PC800 by this weekend - but otherwise she seems in good shape.

(Famous last words!)

We've got one Bantam running the other found to have a flat battery and is on charge, we'll have a go with that tomorrow. Grumblejay popped round on her newly completed project and hopes to have sorted out the last snags before Sunday, she'll be heard arriving from a mile away! On arriving at Loomis turn left into the main car park and we'll aim to park at the far right.

Good to hear that preparations are underway! My bantam number 1 didn't get started up last weekend so it will need some attention tomorrow. I know the battery is flat but it should charge itself during the run. I will also assemble my spares and tools, and transfer the fuel back across from bantam number 2, which won't be coming out to play because someone (me) made a pigs breakfast of the small end bush.

I don't think the local bantam sister/brotherhood have heard my bantam with its proper exhaust fitted. We'll find out which is loudest! rofl

I was 'shirking from home' today due to a medical appointment so I got down to Wickham earlier than usual, came past Loomies in daylight. I call in to use the loo if I'm desperate and have a cup of tea of course! But I feel a bit silly stopping there in the car.

Looking forward to this tomorrow and really hoping the newly build D3 swingarm with D7 engine will be up to the ride. It's  Not completed by any means but rideable (and legal) which is soooo exciting. Couldn't have got it done without the patient support of Pootle mind you!

See you all tomorrow and any others who can make it. Weather is forecast to be fine but might be a little chilly to start with.

I'll be there in spirit only, sorry, really needs a three hour start for me to be comfortable, good luck and happy riding/meeting up to those going.

Bantams up to D7 generally average about 25 MPH,, no matter how many miles you can keep up a steady 50 or 55 it seems. I'd be thrashing it all the way there too! Not conducive...

Four now on the road and at least several in bits.
