Is there any other way of registering for this without printing and scaning and emailing the form, I dont have access to a printer or scanner any more.

Would love to be able to attend.

Cheers

Hi Dave. I believe there'll be an application form with the next edition of the Banter. Ken.

In light of the recent policy by the government on the virus will this still be on ?

The pioneer run and the Isle of man TT have already been cancelled

I'm sure that discussions will be under way, Dave and we'll know asap. Especially as the demographic for this event will include many over-70's and the most vulnerable. As with many things just now, it's a bit of a case of wait and see. Hopefully by June things will have improved massively, but obviously decisions have to be made well in advance. Watch this space.....

I agree, although we live in serious times,  its important not to knee-jerk everything away.  It does no harm to plan and then wait and see but I guess its up to the show organisers.

Of all the diverse things I get involved with I consider evenings alone in the shed with spanners and screwdrivers and riding one of my Bantams solo in the fresh air to be my least risk activity and even if we just ride to Kelsall, check-in (by shouting our details from a distance) then ride home again it's something good to look forward to and count me in.   I will eat my crash helmet if anybody gets COVID19 from riding a BSA !!

Don't forget to wipe your helmet down with anti-bac when you are finished with it for the day.

Fingers crossed

As posted elsewhere on this Forum - the Stafford Show has been rescheduled from April, to the weekend before the Annual Rally. I'm also aware that other major shows at the NEC etc have been rescheduled from March/April to June/July. So there are some wise souls who believe that we will be in 'recovery mode' by then. They must've spent some time and effort investigating this - so who am I to question them?? As Sponge says above - it does no harm to plan, and maybe wait and see. No doubt Tim Randles is all over it.

I think all non essential gatherings of people will be off for most of the rest of the year. The peak will hit in a few weeks I reckon and things may settle down after that. Movements will be gradually less restrictive of course, but I cant see big non essential events going ahead.

I would rather cancel them this year, and still be here for next...…….

The situation with the Virus is fast-moving: restrictions and reactions are changing quickly. My thanks to Wildun who pointed out, earlier this evening, that the Kelsall Steam & Vintage Show - host event for the Club's Annual Rally this year - has now been cancelled.   No more information yet.

It's surprising, really, how much you can look forward to three nights camping in a field - with only portable toilets and a tap - with a group of (mainly) other "older" people and their aged little motorbikes but I shall certainly miss it. I hope that everyone who would have been there will be fit, well and able to do it next year. See you there - fingers crossed ! Ken.

So possibly our only option now could be the marsham show ( site of the 2015 national) in norfolk. In august.

me too, Kev, only 60 miles or so away from me. The main issue that may hinder such shows, even if they go ahead, is that, under current government guidelines, overnight camping would not be permitted. So everyone, including exhibitors would have to leave the show overnight. It is the same situation that applies at race meetings. One day events do have a chance of going ahead towards the end of the season.

Here's hoping we may be able to meet up somewhere.

Just got this about marsham show. Unfortunately that is a no go too.

Following discussions with Committee Members, we have reluctantly decided to cancel this years show.

Due to current restrictions we are unable to enforce social distancing regulations. We have a duty of care obligation to all our Exhibitors, Traders and all who attend. It would be impossible to meet those commitments.

The show organisers would like to thank all helpers and supporters for their support this year. Alot of work has been put in to make the show even better this year. We are hoping to roll this over to next years event which will be in August 2021. Exact dates to be confirmed.

We will still have a field of wheat that will need Harvesting. It is proposed to do this over the August bank holiday weekend, Saturday, Sunday and Monday, with combining, Binding work, Baling and Ploughing. Members attending will be limited. Refreshments, Bacon rolls and burgers will be available all weekend, possible road run saturday evening.

Anybody wishing to join us for this event, also the Road Run or Camping for the weekend, please get in touch on 07860174906 as numbers will be restricted.

More news to follow later when dates are finalised including the New Year Dinner Dance.

All traders who have paid for pitches, stands etc will recieve a full refund over the next few weeks. This also includes those who have paid for the saturday evening meal.

Thankyou to all helpers and supporters, we will all return next year and make the show even better.

Kind Regards. Bob Parke

Oh well, it was not for the want of trying. Roll on the 2021 national...re scheduled from this year to the same venue. Lets all try to make it the best one yet!
