Hello all, I’m struggling to identify what model bsa I actually have, the logbook states the frame number starting D7216 and the engine starting D1017 giving the year of registration may 1967. The bike is a two owner and by the looks of it very original, can anyone on this very knowledgeable forum shed some light?

I'd have thought that frame number would have placed it pre-64, probably late 1961, but I'm definitely no expert. Try messaging the dating officer the full frame number, I can't remember his name though as he only just took over.

Have a look ** Please log in to view **. Impossible to tell without the full number, I'm afraid. You won't be able to message anyone until your private messaging facility becomes available after the relevant number of posts.

All the best

Echoing the above comments, why don`t you give us the correct amount of digits but alter the last one? Is it E or F reg?

I have an F-plate D10 frame fitted with a D7 engine. It looks original, but of course it ain`t.
