Thought I'd start a build thread to show you guys what you've been helping me fix over last few years !

Pics to follow just need to resize them

Currently built back together in Standard trim with patina, I've rattle canned the tinwork , new loom and rebuilt the engine and box . Bike is standard other than a rex big bore piston which I'm currently running in.

Next plan is to fit a Bones CDi and start the conversion to more of a scrambler. I like my bikes modified and thought a standard Bantam would be my thing but I guess I like messing. Hopefully I can get the CDI ordered and I've already picked up a high level front pipe 👍

Danny - that looks really sleek. I’ve just bought a d10 - road bike - and was thinking of converting it to a trails looking bike - I love their look - but your bike and that color is making me think. I’m completely new to bantams - so a bit indecisive all round.

Cheers Singe,

This is the first Bantam I've had in the road and I've just tidied her up and rebuilt the engine really color is a Vauxhall , Name escapes me but same colour they did the MK2 astra GTE and Cavs in.

Only advice I can offer is do your own thing I was very unsure what I wanted and still am to a degree but have decided standard definitely isn't my thing! Going to be a slow transformation though as time / cash allows and I've decided to to do the sensible thing first and have ordered new bearings and brake shoes etc so I'm starting with a reliable base.

Already got the exhaust I'll be fitting and ordering a Bones CDi which will hopefully make it easier to remove the side panels and run without a battery once I decide on the mudguard setup 👍

Cheers Blue,

Paintwork was done with rattle cans in the garden and came out well just loads of flattening and building it up. The Halfords rattle cans are quite expensive but they seem to do a really good job. The side panels have reacted slightly but these will be going into storage for the scrambler make over 👍
