Hi All, have just bought a 6 volt positive earth rectifier to try it's a Swiss for a Royal Enfield unfortunately it has come with no wiring diagram and the supplier says he "just sells them" it looks quite a well made thing so am hopeful someone has used these before, it has only 3 spade terminals as opposed to the little square ones that have 4, any ideas on the wiring please? Regards Basil.

The centre mounting bolt or stud will be earth, so positive out.

Using an ohmmeter and checking out very high and very low resistances to find out which side the ac is being blocked or allowed should tell you how to proceed, checking an old one and comparing values too usually helps.

Four now on the road and at least several in bits.

You could contact Hitchcocks Enfield they are usually very helpful But..

if its the one im thinking of its only a Rectifier even if it says 6.4 volt in the description and not a Regulator, its just the same as and probably not as good as the square KBPC type rectifier that only cost just a few pounds
