Well there is a Bantam Sport, and there is a Bantam Bushman, though I have never heard of a Bantam Sportsman. I’m happy to be proved wrong though.........

Current bikes......1958 D5, a 77 Suzuki GT250 and a 77 Honda CB125S. I have a B175 in the workshop and a 76 Honda C90 waiting its turn. A 1980 Honda CB400N waiting for MOT.  Everyday ride is a 2011 Harley Davidson Sportster.

Sportsman is the name BSA used to market the D10 Sports model in the USA (they used it for other models in the range too, usually differentiated by the use of the cubic capacity).

There were some differences, mudguards (probably to do with license plates) and handlebars and cables (Western Bars?).

I'm not a complete idiot ............................................ some parts are missing.

Well there you go, never seen one and first time I have heard of it. Mind if they were the only differences I’m not too worried...

Now it may be me, I’m working just on the iPad, I’m away from home and I’m not technically gifted, but all I get when I click on that link is a blank page?

I found the Sheldons emu page. I typed in Bantam and sportsman, and got three results all of which referred to the B40 Sportsman, not a Bantam Sportsman. I must be doing something wrong, but I’m losing the will to live now. I will just accept there was a sportsman, which is a d10 sports in the US and move on.

BSA also marketed the D7 De-luxe in the USA as a BSA 175 Flash, confusingly designated as model D175! That also appears to have been fitted with Western Bars.
