Hi Colin. I've just fitted one on my D14. It came from here.

** Please log in to view **

I found I couldn't get the bolts in (new chain and standard crank sprocket) so had to file the slots longer and cut down the rubbing pad a little. They are made for the trials boys really, who use a smaller crank sprocket. On the D14 I had to cut the bolt heads down as they fouled the outer cover. I think you'll need to do the same on the D10 as it has the points on the RH side. Be careful, you could crack the case.

Thanks for info, I emailed them a few days ago, Peter replied yesterday confirming it will fit the D10. Ordering one to try it out.

Hi Alan. Tensioner turned up and yep same problem as me, the slots needs to be longer and the pad needs some material taking off the thickness. Did you tap a thread into the holes in the case or is there a thread there already. If not I may just tap a metric thread in and use a standard bolt with a smaller head for clearance.

Nick it stops any slack in the primary chain, which in turn stops the chain hitting the top of the casing and wearing a hole in it. When riding mine I kept hearing a noise that sounded like the chain hitting something. Then I did a bit of research and found the culprit. Took casing off a couple of days ago and sure enough 2 marks in the casing.

Hi Colin.

My chain is quite new...so if its not hitting the case I take it the is no benefits....or will it help with backlash on the overrun I wonder.

I wonder if you have fitted yours yet Colin...did you have to tap the bolt holes.

Nick.

Tapped holes last night M6, then threadlocked them in. Just waiting for a new gasket to arrive tomorrow then I will take it for a spin (if it ever stops raining).

Yes bang on, Bantams aren't the greatest on the over-run so I figured anything I can do to reduce lash is a good thing. Also wanted to be able to adjust the tension as the new chain wears.

I'm still fiddling with carb settings so can't really say if it's better on the over-run with the tensioner.

I did have to tap the holes in the crank case, 1/4 BSF I think. I bought the kit that came with the extended bolt heads needed for earlier engines where the holes are used to mount the outer cover. Wasn't aware there was a specific kit for later bikes.

Im glad you posted a photo, I took some last night of mine but have lost the will to live trying to post it on this forum. I tapped M6 holes then used M6 Hex bolts with thread lock. I had drilled the hex heads earlier so I used lockwire to lock the two heads together to prevent them coming loose. Still bugging me, how the hell do you post a photo.
