Had a good look in the archives but there was little info on Mikuni carbs for D14 bikes ( a lot re D7 Bikes)

Does anyone run one successfully and if so, what jetting and settings are used? What about the choke etc?

Ebay has a multitude of VM26 carbs, some are copies with certain jets fixed, but are cheap.

I've heard they make the bike run "sweeter" than the standard concentric.

Any info gratefully received!

Cheers

Adrian

Thanks Cocorico

I had looked at all those threads; the one from Barry being the most useful. I just wondered if anyone had bought a cheap one, jetted it to run well on a D14 and what the specs were. It still appears a bit hit and miss! I will speak to Rex Caunt over the next couple of weeks and pick his brains.

If you are going to change your carb go for the genuine article you wont regret it .I fitted a Mikuni from Rex and it transformed my B175 greenlaner,it starts easily and pulls cleanly throughout the rev range and its built for modern («censored») fuels.

That’s what I wanted to hear!

will steer clear of the cheap «censored» ones and investigate the genuine ones from Rex!
