Hey chaps. When I bought my D10 sport it didnt have the original front mudguard brackets, just some steel plates that didnt fit propery with long bolts bridging the gap. If anyone has a D10 Sport would they mind taking a photo of the bracket that attaches the mudguard stays to the front forks? Or if possible scan one of the brackets so I can get some made up? I have been told by T&G and some other suppliers they are not available any more.

If you have a look at the topic earlier on fork types, I posted some D10 sport pics that may help. Let me know if they help and failing that I can measrure a set I have. I assume that you mean the rectangular plates that mount the stays?

Hi
The brackets and plates on your sport are the right items , they just need fitting correctly with the right shorter bolts . ( It was my bike )

Hi Chris. Good to hear from you. Ive really enjoyed getting the bike up together, bit more work than I expected getting it through the MOT but have enjoyed every bit. Im just fiddling now and making cosmetic changes.

I cant get the brackets to fit with the shorter bolts, looking at the parts manual the originals appear to be triangular. I will have another go tomorrow and report back.

Do you have any advice regarding tracking down the missing frame number? Ive contacted Howard who has been very helpful and have recently contacted Linconshire County Council to see if they retained the original records when it was registered.

Thanks Tsunami, they are great pics, lovely bike. Mine certainly doesnt want to fit like that! I will have another go, I am sure it is just my fat fingers but there are some large gaps between the stays and the brackets. As I said to Chris I will have another go and report back.

These photos show the brackets in place. The plates are the rectangular ones in the top left of the parts photo. The 3 stays are in the same photo. The rectangular plates sort of sit behind the forks and the stays bolt to it. Have you got the fork legs on the correct sides as they are handed?
