Hi folks. Just a frame and various boxes of bits. A year or so later back together but at the moment will only start if you hold a rag over the carb intake  one box hold three carbs in it this looked the best one  any ideas? Impressive work there!

What model designate markings on the carb...ie for D14 or B175? 2 or 4-stroke carb?

Yours is the second B175 I`ve seen on here this week sans the central plug cyl head.

Putting my hand over the inlet is a trick I`ve used with old diesels or "run-away" engines, to stop them...but also to create impetus to start them in the first place(start cranking engine, stick hand over inlet, & release method)....sooo, thinking along those lines, have you a mixing jet/main jet issue/partial blockage that by creating that vacuum, helps draw up fuel from the float bowl and thus fuels the engine?

Got your choke lever away from you, not facing you to start. Something that had me scratching my head for 5mins with  my first D14 in `75?

Also mentioned by fellow Bantam four-speeder yesterday.....tickle the hell out of her. Not something I`ve had to do with my D14, but maybe B175`s are different because of the 4-stroke carb...if indeed yours has the correct 626/** fitted
