Fellow Bantamites does anyone have the exact (factory?) dimensions for the seat foam for a D7-B175?

My current project D14 came fitted with a non standard "stepped" foam, the cover seems the right shape but the foam is anything but!

I did see some advertised as Bantam foam on fleabay for £28 but it didn't look high density and I thought the price a bit salty for the size.

Looking around eBay I can buy a chunk of high density foam for a lot less cash but need some dimensions, can anyone help?

Can’t give you the exact size. I just bought some foam from a car trimmers and cut it to the size ( and a bit) of the base. The trimmer gave me some high density foam as normal seat foam is too compressible.

Leightons in Birmingham trim and re upholster seats. They are not cheap but do a very good job. I did speak to them about my seat and they would supply just the foam cut to size and ready to fit. I think it was around 35 pounds. I had spent enough on bits for my bike so did the lot myself for about 40 pounds. It was a lot of work but was happy with the outcome.

Thanks Adrian.

The cover is a pattern item and not particularly well made so any kind of factory foam height wouldn't have been much good anyhow.

To get to a dimension that looked right I used some old bits of high density foam and adjusted up to the final height using layers of old exercise mat.

Looks pretty fair at the moment so I'm going to quit while I'm ahead 😁
