Ok you suspension gurus can you help please, I have a few questions:

1/ I have managed to undo one side of the small nuts at the top inside the large stanchion nut but the other side is just turning and not undoing.

The bottom half of the leg has unscrewed itself so I am left with the spring & rod damper hanging below, as I try to undo the top nut this is turning the spring assy, tried holding when undoing the nut but this just tensioning the spring.

Any ideas how to get the small top nut off?

2/ Also the rod damper is quite pitted are these available?

Did a quick Google but so far nothing

3/ To remove the stanchions how best is it to remove them? I see they have a small tapper so tap them down to release?

Thanks

Dave

this   sounds like  D 7  legs    so  try  conpressing  the  spring  to  jam  the  spring scroll   hard  under  the  Big stortion nut   then  ty  to  undo  the thin

wall  nut  thats  inside  the  stortion   nut        [ the  thinwall  nut is on  a stud  with  luck  one  or the  uther will  undo   ]   if  that  dont  work  you mit have to  drill  throw  two  sides  of the thinwall nut to   cut  it in  1/2     or drill  thrw  the stud  &  nut     replace wth a new stud  & nut    .,

i  dont  think   a  pited   damper  rod  is a  problem   just  clean  it  and  the one in  the uther  leg   to mach  them up,

oil   the  stortion  &  leav  over  nite     it  mite  fall  away     itself
