Tank masked up ready for the grey top coat

Top coat applied. Will now leave for a few days before I remove masking tape and apply the red pinstripe and tank transfers.
The engine is stripped and washed out. It's now off to the glass blasters tomorrow. He reckons between £40 and £50 for the engine to be done. More posts soon

I meant to post up the first time - it looks excellent thumbs-up

Looking forward to seeing it come together ...

Though I hope you're wearing the breathing gear when you're spraying the 2k !

Thanks Stephen. It really has come on over the last couple of weeks. The hard work nearly over.
And yes I bought a filtered mask from B & Q (probably not the best thing for the job but I smelt no fumes during spraying) £14.99

Sorry if I'm upsetting anyone here, but any paint spraying let alone cyanide types like 2 pack need proper dedicated masks, I don't quite follow what type you used, but an ordinary dust mask is no good, the droplets from spaying paint are terribly minute, microns across some of them, I've done it myself though, you need to ask for a wet type filter not dry,DD.

Those fork tubes don't look like D3... they have no "shoulder"....they are straight - like D1 forks.

Thanks Martyn, looks like the hard work is done now. It's been slow the last couple of months and seemed to be going nowhere. I had a plan of 2 years. Looks like that will be cut in half now. I still need to get a rear hub assy, brand new rims, tyres, spokes, a new silencer and downpipe and a seat.

Im sure you'll get there. are you aware that all the things you need to get amounts to big money? make sure you get the right seat, it's the same as the B.S.A..A10...the silencer also is peculier to your bike and the D5 swingarm models only...cheers..thumbs-up
