Seat rubber from underneath, showing where the head of the bolt will sit. Edit: I didn't find any bolts in my frame and there are none in the parts book either. You can sit the rubbers on top of the frame directly.wp_20160406_14_25_27_pro-1.jpg

Thank you for the pictures of the rubbers, and sunny for the information about the colour , the bike is going to be Black, I have stripped the bike back in various places and there is no sign of red, that of course does not mean it was originally black i know but needs must as the devil drives etc.

Has my budget for this bike is zero , what with the plunger still to do, black it will be has I have got the paint. I have also come to the conclusion that some of my bikes will have to go. I'm going to be buying some thing a little more modern, Sunday i'm going to be looking at a Speed triple.  now which ones to sell. know in me none of them.

I could agree with you, but then we would both be wrong

o-m-gclap It's really quiet! Are you riding it to the annual rally? If so, we can compare sounds.

Hi Dookie,

I have no paper work for the bike yet, I'm useless dealing with paper work, Next week i have some time off work so will try and get it all working so I can then try for a dating cert,

A picture of the air filter and collar. Not sure what one it is, it looks different to my D7 one. still have not worked out what the difference is between the a D7 and D5 one.  Can you tell me what size the front wheel is, I have a feeling I have the wrong wheel.

The air fliter above is a d7 one Dave, front wheel should be 18 inch,i thought the wheel filled the mudguard out well on yours i'll bet you have the d1-d3 wheel fitted(19 inch)..front d5 wheels for some reason are really hard to find and I was going to say the d5 brake shoes almost impossible to find but there is a pair on ebay at the moment with a brake plate, but you'd have to be quick coz it ends in a few hours.....

True, that's a D7 air filter you got there, which is alright and will do the job. More importantly you got the collar too.

are you going for the brake plate on ebay? I will have a look but I am not desperate for it. I have a D1 hub in the project I think, laced into an 18 inch wheel. I would need a whole hub, not just the brake plate and shoes, so probably no point in me bidding on it.

I don't think they sold, there were no bids when I was looking, with about 30 minutes to go.

I didn't see the brake hub on E bay, It looks like it is a D3 front wheel, don't know how I missed that. Never mind, it has a new tyre fitted so will stay like that until it wears out, I will be long dead before that happens.

Today I fitted the replacement headlight rim, the  fish tail end piece on the exhaust and the side panels cleaned the saddle, and fitted the number plate and rear light. It needs a good cutting back on the new paint and a polish and the wiring sorting out and it will be good to go for applying for a dating cert.

Nice bike and good progress.

Rear chain looks like one of those 420 type ones?

Four now on the road and at least several in bits.
