Which model of filter did you use?

I got my Dellorto bits and pieces from ** Please log in to view **, a French site, so you'd have to translate and check on postage. Lots of stuff for Dellortos over here as 'the boys' tune their 50cc mopeds whenever they can.

I may also need a replacement carburator :(
The R2507 PHBG 18AS is mentioned like 4-stroke carb... but i can see this post says about 150cc D1,

** Please log in to view **

What would be apropriate for my D1 125? Maybe this:

It's an old thread, but rather than hijack a different thread here we go:

I dug out a Dellorto PHBG slide and took some photos and measurements. The slide was marked with a 30 (I also have a 40 and others are available IIRC). Measurement shows the top of the cutaway to be 3mm less than the bottom, so I guess that's what the 30 refers to?

Dellorto-slide-1.jpgSlide diameter 22mm

Dellorto-slide-2.jpgSlide depth 27.2mm

Further to the above, I decided to play with the Dellorto again today. Started by comparing with the AMAL 523-001.

AMAL slide dia 22mm, height 23mm, cutaway 7mm.      Dellorto slide dia 22mm, height 27mm, cutaway 3mm.

The Dellorto slide fits the AMAL body nicely with a slight mod to the tip of the positioning screw in the AMAL. It doe s need 4mm skimmed off the top of the slide to obtain a similar height, but there's plenty of spare for it. Dellorto needle, when fitted to the slide, then protrudes about the same as the AMAL.

Dellorto jetting (it's a PHBG19BD, which is 19mm. B stands for the spigoted type, A stands for the socketed type, D for Dexter, S for Sinister)

Main jet 75, Diffuser AU262, Idle jet 55, Starter 60, Slide 30 (3mm cutaway), Needle not identifiable, clip 2 from top.

After fitting, using a Malossi rubber sleeve and 2 jubilee clips, fuel was turned on, choke on the carb, then a few kicks and away. Not tested the set-up yet, but ticks over OK, revs well and is cleaner than my somewhat dribbly AMAL. Road tests to follow. Further info ** Please log in to view **.
