Apologies if this has been asked before. I have somehow  'lost' my D7 clutch centre somewhere in the garage - along with my memory. Is it specific to a model or will any Bantam c/cente fit?

Hi,

I’ve looked through the parts books and D1, D3, and D5 the “clutch hub” is the same part number (90-28); for the D7 the name changes to clutch centre and the number to 12690-0028 (looks like a simple renumbering). The D10, four plate, clutch had a different number 90-1591 which may represent a redisign to fit the new thrust washer etc. After this the D14 part number is 90-1737 which carries through to the B175.

That probably doesn’t answer the question(!) but at least gives a framework for reference.

Regards

D7/14 hybrid (4 speed with D7 crank etc.) on the road, D10 Bushman awaiting rebuilding.

Hi folks

Many thanks esp to stubaker and JulianS. Will have to have another 'dig' in the garage, hopefully with greater success. It amazes me how parts from different bikes love to cause confusion when left to their own devices!

Jim

Many thanks

I'm sure before d10 they were 3 plate clutches and later ones were 4 I could be mistaken though.

What's 7/16 in mm again?
