Hi Charlieb,

Replacing a D7 frame loop with a D14 frame loop is straightforward and everything should fit no problems.  Just make sure that the frame loop is from a std D14/4 supreme and it will be OK.

Remember though, that the bike’s identity resides in its frame number. A new main frame loop will have a different number on it.

Looks like you want a frame number that includes D14B (D14C = Bushman) and does not have an S (for Sports) at the end.

Hi all,

Just looking at your photo, and yes your frame is bent, but the wrong way. I would say normally in road accidents the cross bar tube under the petrol tank bends upwards and the downtube from the fork headstock bends inwards towards the engine, also your down tube looks pretty straight.

If your frame is untwisted the other way, ie, when the bike is on the stand, and the front wheel is pointing in the straight ahead position, are the front and rear wheels in line, it may be possible to have the bent cross bar straightened.

I am sure that some other guy on the site must of had their frame straightened after a prang.
