Hi,

there is a short article in the Banter under the Cambs meet. It is incorrect. There is NO BANTAM MEET IN CAMBS ON THE SECOND SUNDAY OF EVERY MONTH.

so we have decided to  meet at the Jolly Sailor Pub in Ramsey, on the Great whyte  - KO is 11am - We meet the second Sunday of every month. It is not a Bantam Club organised event.  HOWEVER All classic bikes are very welcome to attend.  Our next meeting is the 13th Jan. Where, if the weather is good you will see a multitude of Classic bikes, mainly the larger BSA's, Triumphs, Norton's and Ariel's, and of course several Bantams. It is known as the Ramsey Classic Meet. It has it's own Facebook page.

THIS IS NOT A CLUB EVENT, AND IS NOT ORGANISED OR COORDINATED FOR THE BSA BANTAM CLUB.

All Riders of all makes of Classic Motorcycles are very welcome.

Have you written to the editor to tell her that? Looking at what is written in the Banter it says - “this section is still meeting on the second Sunday of every month, but the area rep (Dave Clough) has resigned.”

You do still meet on the second Sunday of every month, though not as the Bantam Club, so perhaps you should be happy your getting advertising for a non Bantam club event? The listing does not give any location for the meet. I will however as a favour to you contact the editor and let her know that you no longer wish to advertise this to Bantam club members.

Merry Christmas.

Current bikes......1958 D5,  and a 76 Honda C90 in the workshop.

So, can we clear this up please. Are the Bantam Club members of Cambridgeshire continuing to meet, or not? I have been informed that they are, and the existence of this section of the forum 'Cambridgeshire and Rutland' would suggest that they still exist. If this is true, where and when do they meet? There doesn't have to be an official area rep to send an area reps report - sometimes the area rep delegates this to a 'scribe'. Words and pics very welcome by 1st Feb for inclusion in the March Banter.

No,

As Mr Walsh says the info in the Banter is incorrect. There is no Cambs or Rutland meet for club members, I was merely trying to correct the incorrect article in the Banter. Hope this clears this up. I can't be any clearer that the meet is not a club meet, and the nearby Classic Meet welcomes everyone.

The Cross Keys is closed, I am merely listing that the nearby classic meet is on, and everyone is welcome ? Perhaps this region page can be closed until a new rep is found ? perhaps that will help ?

Mod Edit: Some text removed as it is the season for good will to all men.
