Hello the date for our second meeting approaches on SUNDAY 21st August 11.30am - Cross keys pub - Upwood High Street. For those able to attend I’ve planned a no hill 10 mile run with a Bantam member giving a brief talk at the end. The date for the third meeting is Sunday
11 25th September ( close as a bike trip to Europe beckons )
As before even if your Bantam is being restored or off the road, then please jump in the car and come along and show support. Simply talking bantams and exchanging phone numbers of local fabricators, powder coaters or meeting new friends makes the effort worthwhile.
On a personal note, two weeks ago I spent a hot weekend in deepest Essex pulling BSAs out of an old barn and purchased a B175 and D14/4 engine and as I type they’re in for aqua cleaning.
I’ll be fitting Bones electronic ignitions to the them, and have ordered new Amal Carbs.
Over the coming winter I’ll be showing regional members how easy it is to fit the Bones CDi unit, other winter talks at Upwood are being planned, include Loom building, 12volt conversions, fitting a Yamaha Clutch to the BSA Bantam.
I’m awaiting confirmation but I’m planning on a guest speaker who'll be giving a live demo on wheel building.
So please show some support and jump on the bike, or in the car and come and say hello. Any question please send me a PM.
