Hi,
I’m in the process of putting together a green lane/trail bike based around a D3 swinging arm frame I picked up. The frame was already chopped about and had been a field bike so I reasoned it wasn’t sacrilege to chop it some more! I’m going for a pre ‘65 vibe, C15 forks, alloy guards, high level exhaust etc.
I’m using folding pillion pegs with upswept ends mounted low down on what remains of the footrest hangers. I’ve turned down the left hand peg spacer so that it can double up as the pivot for the brake pedal but the only pedal I have is from a D7 and, due to its normal pivot being well behind the footrest, is far too long.
So, my question is .... can someone tell me how long a standard D1/3 brake pedal is from the centre of the pivot to the tip? I’ll then cut and get the pedal I’ve got re-welded.
Many thanks.
