Not quite sure how naïve this is going to sound but I’m looking for someone to work my engine for a ‘fast road’ tune. It’s a D14 175 lump currently running in std trim. Stuff I guess I’m interested in having done is along the lines of crank case packing and porting, and I have a Rex Caunt Suzuki piston to go in it. Barrel and head work etc. Similarly any advice or provision of a suitable exhaust to complement that.

Is there anybody out there? I’m Essex based but happy to split it down to post or deliver/collect as appropriate.

Bikes various, including D10/D14 hybrid - now hard tailed to become a Board Track Bantam - 'The Pie Crust Racer'.

Have a look a 'ferguson's' series of posts on 'how to get your D1 to run as it should'. The same principles of blueprinting your D14 should apply.

Should be good for a starter, and you can do most of it yourself.

1956 D3 running, lights to sort. 7 other bikes in the Barn, including a Morini 250 now insured and on road testing.

Lots of people have used Nick @ Rusty Rooster for this kind of work.

Thanks for those responses.

I’ve got other projects currently on the go, so am not too much minded to work the engine myself at the moment. So I’ve dropped Nick an email to see if he would be interested.

I’ll keep you’ll posted.

I found some stuff on the net for MB Scooters - they've done a bantam and look to have a really good approach.

Thanks. Waiting on a response from Nick. Dropped MB a line.

Got a dialogue going with MB at the moment. I'll report back as this unfolds.
